What’s event weighting or prioritization logic?

Event weighting prioritizes competing events and triggers:

Why weighting matters: Multiple events may qualify recipient for automation. Resources (recipient attention, send capacity) are limited. Not all events are equally important.

Weighting approaches: Intent signals: Cart abandonment weighted higher than browse abandonment. Recency: Recent events weighted over older ones. Value: High-value actions weighted over low-value. Urgency: Time-sensitive events prioritized.

Implementation: Assign numeric weights to event types. When multiple events compete, highest weight wins. Ties broken by secondary criteria (recency, etc.).

Practical application: Customer abandons cart AND browses other products. Cart abandonment (weight 80) beats browse (weight 40). Cart abandonment email sent; browse suppressed.

Weighting reflects business priorities. Not all customer signals deserve equal response.
