How do ESPs track deliverability performance?

ESPs monitor multiple signals: bounce rates by type, complaint rates from feedback loops, delivery rates to major MBPs, and engagement metrics (opens, clicks) where measurable. This data feeds dashboards showing sender and platform-wide performance.

Advanced ESPs add: **inbox placement** testing using seed lists, blocklist monitoring, authentication success rates, and **domain reputation** tracking. Some integrate **Gmail Postmaster Tools** data for senders who enable it.

ESPs use this data internally to: identify problem senders for intervention, optimize **IP pool** assignments, detect emerging delivery issues, and benchmark platform health. You benefit from this monitoring through better overall platform reputation and proactive issue notification.
