Do all bounces mean invalid addresses?

Myth: False. Not all bounces indicate invalid addresses. Soft bounces include mailbox full, temporary server issues, or reputation based rejection, none of which mean the address is invalid.

Hard bounces (user unknown, domain does not exist) indicate invalid addresses requiring immediate suppression. Soft bounces may resolve and should be retried before conversion to hard status.

Proper bounce classification matters for appropriate handling. Suppressing every bounce wastes valid addresses. Ignoring all bounces damages reputation. Categorize and handle appropriately.
