Will mailbox providers automate user-level reporting?

Current state: users report phishing through buttons or menu options. Reports inform filter training but feedback to users is minimal. Reporting feels like shouting into void.

Potential evolution: automated acknowledgment of reports, feedback when reported threats are confirmed, and gamification encouraging continued reporting. Better feedback loop increases reporting quality and volume.

Privacy considerations: detailed feedback requires tracking individual reports; balance transparency with privacy. Aggregate feedback ("your reports helped block X threats") may be appropriate middle ground.
