How do you request a dedicated IP?

Most ESPs offer dedicated IPs as an upgrade option. The process varies: self-serve platforms may let you add one through account settings; enterprise ESPs typically route requests through your account manager or sales team.

Expect requirements before approval. ESPs want to see sufficient volume (often 100K+ monthly), healthy sending metrics, and sometimes a minimum contract commitment. They're protecting their IP reputation by ensuring dedicated IPs go to senders who can maintain them properly.

Once approved, you'll receive warmup guidance. The IP needs gradual volume increases over weeks before reaching full capacity. Rushing this process damages the new IP's reputation before it's established.

Commissioning a new vessel takes time. The shipyard checks your credentials, the hull needs fitting, and sea trials must pass before you sail at full speed.
