How does user-level engagement differ from global engagement signals?
Engagement operates at two levels:
User-level engagement: Each recipient's personal history with your sending. Determines placement for that specific user. One user might inbox while another spams based on their individual interactions.
Global engagement: Aggregate engagement across all recipients. Shapes overall sender reputation. Affects baseline placement for new recipients and borderline cases.
A sender with strong global engagement but poor engagement from a specific user may still spam for that user.
A sender with weak global engagement but strong history with a specific user may still inbox for that user.
Your reputation at each individual port matters, and your overall fleet reputation matters. Both influence where you dock.
