Do seed tests reflect your real audience?
Myth: Seed test results perfectly predict real audience placement.
Reality: Seeds are useful but imperfect proxies.
Seeds lack engagement history with your domain. They cannot replicate the unique relationship each real subscriber has with your sending.
Engaged subscribers may see better placement than seeds show. Disengaged subscribers may see worse.
Use seeds for directional guidance, not precise prediction. Combine with engagement metrics and postmaster data for complete picture.
Scout reports are valuable but do not capture every merchant's unique relationship with you.
