How often should I run inbox placement tests?

Testing frequency depends on your sending patterns and risk tolerance:

Before major campaigns: Always test before high-stakes sends.

After changes: Test after switching ESPs, IPs, authentication, or significant content changes.

Regular monitoring: Monthly or bi-weekly for steady-state visibility.

Problem investigation: Immediately when engagement drops suggest placement issues.

High-volume senders benefit from continuous monitoring. Lower-volume senders can test less frequently but should never skip pre-campaign checks.

Check your navigation instruments before every major voyage and periodically during routine sailing.
