Can testing itself affect your reputation?
Testing generally has minimal reputation impact:
Small volume: Seed lists are tiny compared to production sends. The volume is insufficient to materially affect reputation metrics.
No engagement: Seeds typically are not engaged, which could theoretically contribute negative signals. But the volume is too small to matter.
Exception: If you test heavily without production sending, providers might see low engagement rates. This is unusual.
Normal testing practices do not meaningfully affect reputation. The benefit of placement visibility far outweighs theoretical risks.
A few scout vessels do not change how the port views your merchant fleet.
