Does a dedicated IP guarantee good reputation?

Dedicated IPs guarantee control, not good reputation:

New dedicated IPs start with neutral reputation. They must be warmed through gradual volume increases with engaged recipients, just like shared IPs.

Sole accountability means your behavior alone determines reputation. No one else can damage your IP, but you also cannot lean on others' positive signals.

Poor sending on a dedicated IP damages it just as severely as poor sending on shared infrastructure. You cannot blame neighbors for your own problems.

Volume requirements mean dedicated IPs need sufficient traffic (typically 100,000+ monthly) to maintain stable reputation. Low-volume senders often struggle.

A dedicated IP is like owning your own ship. You have full control, but that means full responsibility. A captain who sinks their own vessel has no one else to blame.
