Does sending from Gmail accounts hurt reputation?
Sending bulk mail through personal @gmail.com accounts creates problems:
Terms of service violations since Gmail personal accounts are not designed for bulk commercial sending. Google may suspend accounts.
Sending limits restrict personal accounts to a few hundred messages per day. Exceeding limits triggers blocks.
No reputation building because you cannot establish domain reputation with a shared @gmail.com domain. You are borrowing Google's domain.
No authentication control since you cannot configure SPF, DKIM, or DMARC for gmail.com.
For legitimate business sending, use your own domain with proper authentication or Google Workspace for professional Gmail-hosted sending.
Personal Gmail is like using a rental car for commercial trucking. It violates the agreement, exceeds the vehicle's purpose, and will eventually get you banned.
