Sender Score is calculated using data collected across Validity's network of email providers, ISPs, and filtering partners. The algorithm weighs multiple factors:
Complaint rates from feedback loops measuring how often recipients report mail as spam. Unknown user rates tracking bounces to invalid addresses. Spamtrap hits indicating list hygiene problems. Sending volume patterns looking for suspicious spikes.
The calculation uses a rolling window, typically 30 days, so scores reflect recent behavior rather than ancient history. Consistent improvement gradually raises the score.
