How to interpret GlockApps, Mail-Tester, or Postmaster results?
Testing tools provide various metrics. Understanding what to prioritize helps you act effectively on the results.
Inbox placement rate shows the percentage of test messages reaching the inbox versus spam. Rates below 80% indicate problems requiring attention.
Authentication status should show passing SPF, DKIM, and DMARC. Any failures here are high priority fixes regardless of other results.
Spam score indicates content and header issues. Investigate any rules that add significant points and address them.
Provider-specific results reveal where you have problems. Poor results at one provider may indicate domain-specific reputation issues there.
Focus on actionable items. Tools often list many minor issues. Prioritize authentication failures, blocklist appearances, and major content problems over minor suggestions.
Read the inspection report carefully. Not every notation is critical, but the serious issues demand immediate attention.
