What is Cymru Bogons?

Team Cymru Bogons list IP addresses that should not be routable on the public internet - unallocated address space, private/reserved ranges appearing publicly, and other "bogon" addresses.

Impact Level: Low for legitimate senders. If you're listed on Cymru Bogons, you have a fundamental network configuration problem.

Zone: bogons.cymru.com (v4) / v6.fullbogons.cymru.com (v6)

What triggers listing:

• Sending from unallocated IP space
• Private IP ranges (10.x, 192.168.x) appearing on public internet
• Reserved or documentation address ranges
• Recently allocated space not yet removed from bogon lists

Why this matters:

• Legitimate senders should never be on this list
• Bogon traffic is by definition illegitimate or misconfigured
• Spammers sometimes hijack unallocated address space

Delisting: If your IP is legitimately allocated but appearing on bogon lists, it may be recently assigned space. Wait for propagation or contact Team Cymru.

Cymru Bogons isn't saying you're a spammer - it's saying your ship is flying flags from a country that doesn't exist. That's either a serious navigation error or something more suspicious.
