Are there limits on the number of TXT records per domain?
TXT record count considerations:
DNS protocol: No inherent limit on number of TXT records.
Provider limits: Some providers restrict total record count or records per name.
Practical limits: UDP response size may cause issues with many records.
What works:
Multiple TXT records for different purposes (SPF, verifications, etc.)
DKIM selectors at different names
What fails:
Multiple SPF records at same name (permerror)
Multiple DMARC records at _dmarc name
Different protocols can coexist. Same protocol at same name causes conflicts.
Multiple different document types allowed in the registry. Duplicate registration numbers cause rejection.
