How to test if your tracking domain is working?

DNS verification:

• dig CNAME click.yourdomain.com
• Verify it points to correct ESP target.

SSL check:

• Visit https://click.yourdomain.com in browser
• Should not show certificate errors

Link test:

• Send test email to yourself
• Click a link
• Verify it redirects to correct destination

Analytics verification:

• Check ESP dashboard for the click
• Confirm tracking registered
• Open tracking: View email, check if open registers in analytics.
• Test before every campaign if you have had recent DNS changes.
• Test the dock facilities before the cargo ships arrive.
