CNAME Verification Issues? — Unverified CNAMEs kill tracking & reputation. We can fix this. Fix It Now →

What happens if your CNAME isn’t verified?

Unverified CNAME problems:

Tracking failure: ESP cannot track clicks or opens through your domain.

Fallback behavior: ESP uses their shared tracking domain instead. Reputation suffers.

SSL errors: Without proper certificate provisioning, https links fail. Browsers show security warnings.

  • Broken links: If CNAME points nowhere or wrong place, links do not work at all.
  • Image loading: Open tracking pixels and images may not display.
  • Verify CNAME setup before sending. Test links and images in preview mode.
  • Unregistered alias causes delivery to fail or default to generic handling.
