What does a TLS-RPT report contain?

These JSON reports include key value pairs that describe key events:

  • policy type which identifies the standard being checked for example mta sts
  • policy result which shows the outcome such as validation failure

failure reason which provides the root cause such as certificate expired hostname mismatch or STARTTLS not supported

  • sending mta ip which identifies the server that attempted the connection
