How do dynamic conditions work inside flows?
Dynamic conditions evaluate data at each step of an automation, enabling adaptive behavior:
How they work:
At decision points in the flow, conditions check current data. "Is customer in VIP segment?" "Did they open the previous email?" "Is their cart value above $100?" The path or content changes based on the answer.
Types of conditions:
Segment membership: Is the recipient currently in a defined segment? Engagement status: Did they open, click, or convert from prior messages? Data field values: What is their location, preference, or attribute? Behavioral history: What have they purchased, browsed, or engaged with?
Dynamic vs static:
Conditions evaluate at the moment of decision, using current data. If segment membership changed since flow entry, the current status applies.
Dynamic conditions make automation responsive. Instead of fixed paths, flows adapt to what is true about the recipient right now.
