Does MPP affect other metrics like clicks?
MPP specifically targets image-based tracking. Clicks are unaffected. When a subscriber clicks a link in your email, that action happens in their browser, outside of MPP's proxy system. You get accurate click data, including timestamp, IP address, and device information.
Conversions, purchases, form submissions, and website behavior are similarly untouched. These actions occur after the click, on your website or landing page, where standard analytics apply.
This is why the post-MPP world emphasizes click-based engagement. Clicks represent intentional action. Someone decided to tap or click a link, which signals genuine interest. Opens, even when accurate, only meant an image loaded in a preview pane.
MPP closed one window but left the door wide open. The metrics that matter most for understanding subscriber value remain fully functional.
