What is a Postmaster?

A Postmaster manages email infrastructure at an organization or **MBP**. At MBPs, postmasters oversee: mail system operations, spam filtering, abuse handling, and sender relations. They're the technical authority on email delivery.

At sending organizations, postmaster roles manage: mail server infrastructure, authentication configuration, delivery optimization, and **MBP** relationships. They ensure outbound email operates effectively.

**MBP** postmasters are key contacts for delivery issues. Building relationships with postmaster teams at major providers helps resolve problems. Understanding what postmasters care about (user protection, abuse prevention) helps frame requests effectively.
