What is the time-to-deliver metric?

Time-to-deliver (TTD) measures how long it takes for an email to be accepted by the recipient's mail server after it is sent. It includes queuing, retries, and network latency.

It is the digital equivalent of tracking how long it takes a letter to travel from one port to another, including every checkpoint and delay along the route.
