Does DMARC break forwarding?
Partially True. DMARC can cause problems with forwarding because forwarding breaks SPF alignment when IPs change, and DKIM may break if forwarding services modify content.
This is why ARC (Authenticated Received Chain) was developed, to preserve authentication through legitimate forwarding. Receivers supporting ARC can evaluate the authentication chain.
The forwarding issue does not mean DMARC is bad. It means understanding mail flow matters when implementing strict policies. Start with monitoring (p=none), analyze reports, then tighten carefully.
