Does “warming” never end?
IP and domain warming has a completion point. Once you've established reputation at your target volume with consistent positive signals, you're warmed. Ongoing maintenance differs from initial warmup. Like a ship completing sea trials versus routine operation.
Warmup ends when: you've reached target daily volume, reputation metrics stabilize positively, engagement rates match or exceed benchmarks, and you can maintain current volume without placement issues. This typically takes four to eight weeks for new infrastructure.
What continues indefinitely: reputation maintenance through consistent practices, adaptation to volume changes (significant increases require mini-warmups), and monitoring for problems. You don't re-warm established infrastructure unless you make major changes or reputation degrades significantly.
