How to isolate one variable for deliverability testing?

Variable isolation requires disciplined test design:

Identify the variable: Subject line, From name, content block, tracking domain, sending IP, etc.

Create control and variant: Identical except for the single variable being tested.

• Send simultaneously: Timing differences can introduce confounding factors.
• Use same seed network: Provider mix should be identical between versions.
• Measure and compare: Attribute differences to the isolated variable.

Changing multiple elements simultaneously makes it impossible to know what caused any difference.
