What are SNDS and JMRP, and how do they help?
SNDS (Smart Network Data Services) and JMRP (Junk Mail Reporting Program) are Microsoft's tools for senders to monitor reputation and receive feedback. SNDS provides IP reputation data showing how Microsoft views your sending IPs, including volume, complaint rates, and trap hits.
JMRP delivers feedback loop reports when Outlook.com/Hotmail users mark your messages as junk. Similar to Yahoo's CFL, these reports identify complainers so you can remove them from future sends and investigate what triggered complaints.
Setting up both services requires registering through Microsoft's postmaster site and verifying control of your sending IPs. SNDS dashboards show reputation trends over time, helping identify problems before they cause blocking. JMRP reports enable immediate response to complaints, protecting reputation through quick list maintenance.
