No, List-Unsubscribe headers do not replace the visible unsubscribe link in your email body. Both mechanisms should be present. The header enables easy unsubscription through email client interfaces, while the body link provides the traditional path users expect.
Different users prefer different unsubscription methods. Some click the provider's unsubscribe button (enabled by headers), while others scroll to footer links. Providing both options maximizes convenience and reduces friction that might lead to spam complaints instead of unsubscribes.
Body unsubscribe links also serve users whose email clients do not display header based unsubscribe options. Maintaining both mechanisms ensures all recipients have clear, easy paths to opt out regardless of their email environment.
