How do aggregated FBLs (like Microsoft’s ARF) differ from individual ones?
Aggregated FBLs collect complaints over a time period and deliver them in batched reports. You might receive daily or weekly summaries containing all complaints from that window.
Individual FBLs send separate notifications for each complaint as they occur. When someone clicks spam, you receive that specific report within minutes.
Microsoft's JMRP can operate in both modes. The standard format sends individual ARF reports, but high-volume senders may receive aggregated summaries.
Individual notifications enable faster response but generate more email traffic. Aggregated reports reduce volume but delay suppression action.
Individual FBLs are like receiving each complaint letter separately. Aggregated FBLs bundle a week's complaints into one envelope. Both deliver the same information, but with different timing and volume characteristics.
