What’s the difference between IP and domain listings?

IP versus domain listing differences:

IP listing:

Blocks sending from that IP address

Can escape by changing IPs (but problem may follow)

Usually caused by sending behavior

Affects all domains using that IP

Domain listing:

Blocks content containing that domain

Cannot escape by changing IPs

Follows the brand/domain

May affect links even if not sending domain

Recovery differences:

IP: Can potentially move to new IP as temporary measure

Domain: Must rehabilitate the domain itself

Domain reputation is often harder to escape.
