What’s the difference between IP and domain listings?

IP listing:

• Blocks sending from that IP address
• Can escape by changing IPs (but problem may follow)
• Usually caused by sending behavior
• Affects all domains using that IP

Domain listing:

• Blocks content containing that domain
• Cannot escape by changing IPs
• Follows the brand/domain
• May affect links even if not sending domain

Recovery differences:

• IP: Can potentially move to new IP as temporary measure
• Domain: Must rehabilitate the domain itself
• Domain reputation is often harder to escape.

Ship ban versus company ban. Company bans follow you regardless of which ship you use.
