What is “reputation isolation” testing?

Reputation isolation testing helps identify which element of your sending infrastructure carries reputation problems. By testing different combinations, you isolate the source.

If you suspect IP reputation issues, send the same content from a different IP. If delivery improves, your original IP has reputation problems.

If you suspect domain reputation issues, send from the same IP but using a different domain. Improved delivery indicates the original domain has reputation problems.

Test different content from the same infrastructure to isolate content-based filtering from reputation-based filtering.

This methodical approach identifies root causes rather than guessing. It takes more effort but produces clearer diagnosis.

Isolation testing is the process of elimination. By changing one variable at a time, you identify which element causes the problem.
