What is a DMARC aggregate report (RUA)?
An aggregate report is a machine readable XML file sent by mailbox providers to the address defined in the rua tag. It contains counts of SPF results DKIM results alignment results sending IPs and sending sources.
These reports help you identify who is sending mail on behalf of your domain and whether those systems authenticate properly. Because they are XML they are difficult to read directly which is why DMARC reporting tools exist.
