Can I embed videos in emails?

Not really. True video embedding (HTML5 video) works in very few email clients-Apple Mail, some iOS clients, and a handful of others. Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo, and most others don't support it. Relying on embedded video means most recipients see nothing or a broken experience.

The practical solution: Link to video with a compelling thumbnail. Create a static image that looks like a video player (play button overlay), link it to your video on YouTube, Vimeo, or your landing page. Recipients click, video plays in browser. This works universally.

Fake it effectively. A well-designed video thumbnail with a prominent play button gets clicked. The user experience difference between "click to play in email" and "click to play in browser" is minimal from the recipient's perspective. Don't sacrifice universal functionality for a feature 10% of recipients can use.
