Duplicate "From" Headers? — Resolve RFC violations causing delivery and authentication issues. Troubleshoot →

What happens if multiple “From” headers exist?

If a message contains more than one From header, it violates RFC 5322. Some clients refuse to deliver it, some quarantine it, and some choose the first From line and ignore the rest.

It is the email equivalent of a ship flying two flags. Providers do not enjoy contradictory identities, so the message often ends up filtered or distrusted.
