What is the difference between “resend” and “forward”?

Forward wraps the original content into a new message where you become the sender. Resend tries to send the same message again as if it had been sent correctly the first time but needed another attempt.

Forwarding clearly changes both the context and the sender identity. Resending keeps the original voice and layout, often with minimal edits such as fixing an address or adding one more recipient. If you want to introduce or comment on a message, forward it. If you want to correct a send, use resend instead.
