What are inline attachments?

Inline attachments are files, often images, that are displayed within the email body itself rather than as separate downloadable files. They make newsletters and marketing emails visually engaging.

They use Content-ID references, allowing the image to be “anchored” right where it appears in the message. Behind the scenes, the file travels as an encoded part of the MIME package.
