Why is email considered asynchronous?
It means the sender and receiver do not have to be online at the same time.
You can send an email at three in the morning from your ship in the Atlantic, and the recipient can read it at nine when they reach port. Communication happens across time instead of requiring simultaneous presence.
It is the digital version of a message in a bottle, reliable and ready whenever found.
