Not Optional For Bulk Senders. Gmail and Yahoo's 2024 requirements mandate one click unsubscribe for bulk senders. CAN-SPAM requires functional unsubscribe mechanisms. GDPR requires easy withdrawal of consent.
One click unsubscribe through List-Unsubscribe headers is now required by major providers. Body unsubscribe links have long been required by CAN-SPAM.
Implement both header based one click and visible body unsubscribe links. Easy unsubscription is regulatory requirement, provider requirement, and best practice.
