How do ISPs differ in spam folder vs block behavior?
ISP handling of suspicious messages varies:
Gmail tends to spam-folder rather than block. You may see delivery but poor placement. Gives senders opportunity to notice and correct.
Microsoft may block at the connection level for severely problematic IPs. Messages never arrive, generating bounces.
Yahoo may defer (temporary fail) for rate limiting, then spam-folder for content or reputation issues.
Understanding this helps diagnose problems. Missing messages suggest blocking. Delivered but low engagement suggests spam-foldering.
Some ports quarantine suspicious cargo. Others refuse entry entirely.
