What is CSA (Certified Senders Alliance)?

The CSA (Certified Senders Alliance) is a joint project of eco (Association of the Internet Industry) and the German Dialogue Marketing Association. It establishes quality standards for commercial email and certifies senders meeting those standards.

CSA is particularly influential in the German speaking European market, with many regional mailbox providers participating in their whitelist program. Certified senders may bypass certain filtering at participating providers.

Beyond certification, CSA publishes best practice guidelines, provides deliverability resources, and advocates for responsible email marketing. Their standards emphasize transparency, consent, and technical quality.
