What's the difference between "sent," "delivered," and "delivery rate"?

Sent is the total number of outbound attempts.

Delivered or accepted is the number of messages that the receiving server agreed to process.

Delivery rate is the percentage of sent messages that were accepted.

These terms do not indicate inbox placement.
