How do list-unsubscribe headers affect complaint rates?

The List-Unsubscribe header adds a safe and visible unsubscribe option inside the mailbox interface. When present, providers such as Gmail.com and Outlook.com show an unsubscribe link at the top of the message.

This reduces complaints because people can leave easily without marking the message as spam.
