How can scrolling or reading time be measured?
Scrolling cannot be measured directly by ESPs because email clients do not expose scroll events. Reading time is inferred from the time between the pixel load and the moment the user closes the message or switches away.
Some clients report approximate reading categories rather than specific seconds. Others use inactivity timers. These methods are rough estimates rather than precise measurements.
