How does ARC preserve authentication results through forwarding?
ARC copies the original Authentication Results into a signed record. When the message is forwarded, even if SPF or DKIM fail later, the downstream provider can see that the message originally passed authentication at the first hop.
It is similar to preserving the captain’s original cargo documents even after the crates are repacked at another port.
