What problem does ARC solve?

ARC solves the problem of legitimate mail from mailing lists such as Google Groups or Groups.io auto forwarders or account level forwarding failing authentication. Forwarders often modify the message or send from new IPs which breaks SPF and DKIM. Without ARC, mailbox providers cannot tell whether the original message was authenticated before forwarding.

ARC preserves those results.
