How to obtain a VMC certificate?
You must:
Own a registered trademark of the logo. This mark must be registered with a recognized intellectual property office such as USPTO in the United States or EUIPO in Europe.
Submit documentation proving legal ownership.
Pass organizational validation.
Pay a certificate authority such as Entrust or Digicert.
Publish the certificate via DNS.
It is a formal process similar to registering a vessel’s insignia with the central maritime authority.
