How does DMARC interact with mailing lists?
Mailing lists often break alignment. They break SPF by forwarding from their own servers and break DKIM by modifying message content such as adding a subject tag or footer. The modern solution is ARC defined in RFC 8617 which preserves the original authentication results so the final receiver can see that the message was legitimate before the list modified it.
