What is an abuse desk?

An abuse desk is the team or automated system responsible for handling reports of spam, fraud, or misuse. They investigate complaints, shut down abusive senders, and maintain ecosystem trust. It is the maritime tribunal that removes rogue vessels from the water to protect the fleet.

Most legitimate operators maintain a dedicated abuse address such as abuse@domain.com. This practice is recommended under RFC two one four two.
