How do users control email better (unsubscribe, filters) vs. ads?
Because email gives users true control.
The unsubscribe link is legally required under CAN-SPAM, GDPR, and similar laws. Every commercial email must include a clear and functional opt-out.
You can't unsubscribe from a TV ad or mute a billboard, but you can filter, block, or unsubscribe from emails. Email gives users a remote control for their own inbox.
