Does personalization guarantee engagement?

Myth: False. Personalization improves engagement probability but does not guarantee it. Poorly executed personalization (wrong name, irrelevant content) can hurt more than help.

Effective personalization requires good data and relevant application. "Hi [FirstName]" is basic. Truly personalized content matching recipient interests drives engagement.

Personalize thoughtfully based on actual preferences and behavior. Personalization for its own sake adds little. Meaningful personalization demonstrating understanding creates value.
